Swansea may soon be the home of Britain’s largest padel centre after the announcement of plans for a 15-court project in the South Wales city.
Jaxx Padel will be the latest offering from swansea.com, who first brought padel to the city in 2023 with two outdoor courts at Pure Swansea, adding a further three in July this year.
Now, Jaxx Padel will be a stand-alone brand, offering a luxury leisure facility which is set to open in winter 2025, initially boasting nine indoor courts.
An expansion to an outside offering with six additional outside courts is planned for summer 2026, which would make the full development (as of now) the UK’s largest padel centre.
Rocket Padel in Bristol is currently the largest padel club in the UK in terms of number of courts with 14. Slazenger Padel Club in Leeds is bigger in square footage terms, but ‘only’ has 12 courts. The Padel Club TraffordCity in Manchester (11 courts) is billed as Britain’s largest ‘purpose built’ club (i.e. not a warehouse).

“We are thrilled to have submitted a FUL planning application for the launch of Swansea’s first indoor padel venue following the successful acquisition of the former PRESS GLASS UK.
“We hope that our planning application is a success, allowing us to bring indoor padel to Swansea imminently.”
