Fast-growing operators Pure Padel have announced the upcoming opening of the first indoor facility in Birmingham city centre, due to open in January 2026.

Pure Padel Birmingham will be located on New Summer Street in the Second City’s famous Jewellery Quarter, a 10-minute walk from Snow Hill train station.

Its bustling location with high accessibility and footfall will make it Birmingham’s first city centre indoor venue. Pure Padel are also set to open a venue in nearby Solihull in March.

In a nod to Birmingham’s automotive history, the state-of-the-art venue will repurpose an old Land Rover Jaguar engineering plant to feature five doubles courts and two singles courts, along with a vibrant food and beverage space, social areas and changing rooms.

The news heralds Birmingham’s late arrival as a vibrant hub on the British padel scene, following on the heels of Connect Padel UK’s recent opening at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, Core Padel’s indoor six-court centre in Tyseley, courts at Powerleague Birmingham, several tennis clubs and The Padel Club’s planned 10-court facility at Sutton Coldfield.

Sammy Arora, Founder and Managing Director at Pure Padel, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Pure Padel to Birmingham and to the Jewellery Quarter. It’s an up-and-coming area, and we’re excited to contribute to its regeneration by converting this former Land Rover Jaguar plant into a premium indoor padel facility.

“The indoor courts will allow year-round play, while the vibrant social and F&B spaces make it a perfect venue for corporate events. With Birmingham’s growing business community, we see huge potential to build a new padel community and provide a central hub for both leisure and corporate players!”

Since the opening of its first club in Alderley Park in October 2023, Pure Padel opened its flagship indoor club in Manchester city centre, followed by Darlington, Stockport and North Leeds. Construction is also in advanced stages with its Nottingham venue (opening in October) and Lightwater (opening in February 2026).

By the end of 2025, the company’s rapid growth will take Pure Padel to a 32-court padel operator. Planning is also approved for additional clubs in Solihull, Gosforth, York and Glasgow, with all four locations expected to open by June 2026.
