Connect Padel UK, the new UK operator fronted by British actress Lily James, has announced its first site at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, opening later this month.

The new facility – Connect Padel Birmingham – will have four canopied panoramic courts and will be open seven days a week.

Connect Padel Birmingham will offer professional coaching for beginners and advanced players, community-driven events, tournaments, and social leagues, plus accessible and inclusive programmes to welcome new players.

Off the court, players will enjoy a clubhouse, complete with a reception, pro shop and a café area.

Launched last week, Connect Padel UK – backed by British actress and producer Lily James – is committed to making a lasting positive impact on the local community.

The UK Padel Operator will commit 1,000 hours of free court access per year to schools and charities serving local disadvantaged communities in greater Birmingham – empowering people of all ages and abilities to connect through sport.

Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, competing in National League 1, welcomes Connect Padel UK as the latest sports and recreational facility on Billesley Common, which will now be officially renamed ‘Birmingham Moseley Sporting Village’ – a destination where elite sport, community impact and corporate opportunity meet.

Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club CEO, Emma Wilkinson said: “The Birmingham Moseley Sporting Village is an ambitious, evolving multi-sport destination that brings together performance, participation and purpose.

“With a vision rooted in our 150-year legacy and a commitment to building a sustainable future, we are transforming our site into a vibrant, multi-use campus that connects elite sport with grassroots access, community development, and commercial partnership.
“Located just minutes from Birmingham city centre, the Sporting Village reflects our ambition to become a beacon for sport and wellbeing in the Midlands.

“With a unique mix of facilities – from our legacy beach volleyball courts from the 2022 Commonwealth Games to the newly launched Connect Padel Birmingham and inclusive formats such as walking rugby, bowls, darts and football – we are building something far greater than a matchday venue.”

The Grand Opening of Connect Padel Birmingham will take place on Saturday 2 August as part of the Birmingham Moseley Sporting Village Summer Sports Fest.
